Terms and Conditions

I, the Applicant hereby expressly give Cape Union Mart International (Pty) Ltd permission to collect and process any of my personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 4 of 2013) ("POPIA”) and the associated regulations and this can be done -

1.1 for any legitimate purposes connected with my potential employment, including but not limited to maintaining personal contact details, to comply with applicable legislation, occupational health and safety, security and access control, employment and other credit references, and the like;

1.2 in order to comply with laws and other measures designed to protect or advance persons, or categories of persons, disadvantaged by unfair discrimination;

1.3 in order to protect Cape Union Mart International (Pty) Ltd legitimate interests;

1.4 in order to perform obligations under law or contract, to protect my legitimate interests or to pursue the legitimate interests of Cape Union Mart International (Pty) Ltd or of a third party to whom the information is supplied.

  1. For purposes of this clause, "processing" refers to processing as defined in POPIA and includes but is not limited to collecting, receiving, recording, organising, collating, storing, updating, retrieving, altering, using, disseminating, distributing, merging, linking, blocking, degrading, erasing or destroying of any personal information.

  • Employment history
  • Contact details
  • Physical Address
  • Email address
  • Identification number/document
  • Driver’s License number/card
  • Ethnic group
  • Qualifications
  • References
  • Integrity Checks (Credit/Criminal etc.)
  1. I warrant that any and all personal information provided by me to Cape Union Mart International (Pty) Ltd shall at all times be true and correct and that the provision of inaccurate and/or misleading personal information shall constitute a serious offence.

I confirm that Cape Union Mart International (Pty) Ltd may retain my personal information in their database for future matching and employment opportunities.
